Ask Me Anything

lazyI have decided that I don’t like  cold weather very much.  To my friends in Canada and the areas surrounding the Great Lakes, I apologize for what will surely sound like silly whining. I often roll my eyes or snidely mumble to myself when I see one of my friends down south complaining about the chill of 50 degree weather. One would assume that I would have nothing better to do than sit and write when the temperature dips below zero but I find that I lack the enthusiasm to do much of anything when it is cold.

I feel I have not been making good use of my time which is an issue that causes me no small amount of anxiety. For the better part of a month I have been watching movies, lazing around, drinking and gaining a very annoying five pounds from lack of activity.  My lack of social life has increased my lack of fun writing material which also causes me some considerable anxiety.

As the devil month of February approaches I am filled with dread of what another sedentary month may do to my energy level, my social life and my comatose mind.  With that being said I would like to extend you one of my biannual calls for help.  If you have topic you would like me to discuss or would like to ask me a question that you wouldn’t mind me publishing here please feel free to do so.  My poor powered-down brain would greatly appreciate the exercise.

Please feel free to contact me via email, on my Facebook fan page, on Twitter or by leaving a comment below.

  2. I’d love to hear about the worst date or sexual experience you ever had?

  3. I know what you mean! – this winter asylum is also bludgeoning my creativity and put me in a social come – all I do is watch films.
Would like to get your thoughts on Valentine’s Day. Any past notable experiences? Do you avoid it? What if you just started dating someone – what do you do? Thoughts in general? I’m working on a post of my own relating to my current situation and would love the Narcissist’s take on it. xox

  4. I know what you mean about being uninspired and how, well, uninspiring that can be. Do you mind that most of these question have to do with relationships and/or sex? Do you feel like you have been type-cast as a blogger of all things sexual? If so, how does that make you feel?

  6. There is no secret that I love winter. I respect your right to bash the beautiful season of the year. But damn if you are going to bad mouth my birthday month by calling it the devil month, ooooooooooooh! My feelings are are broken. So why don’t you just write a whole post about people who love these too short cold days of winter.

  7. Winter is nature’s sedative, it puts you down real good.
My question to you Teri is this: Will you _____ me?

    I joke, I joke, I kidd, I kidd.
What do you do when you don’t know what to do?

Translation: Where do you go, who do you talk to, just what do you do?
Thanks love, I’ll drudge up another question after I take my Carrot Pudding out of the oven.

  8. I hear ya, sister. We’re expecting freezing rain this afternoon up in TGWN (The Great White North). Ditto what Terry722 wanted to know … the worst date you’re ever been on? I’ve opened up a Dating School for Clueless Men – http://nancylauzon.com/2013/01/25/dating-school-for-completely-clueless-men/ – and I figure you have lots of material I could use, with your permission of course ;) If not, no worries, currently I’ve got enough material from my daughter.

  9. take a lot of hot fluid to keep warm, don’t stay too long at crowded places because there is a flu bug out there!

    • I have managed to stay healthy. I don’t normally get anything that is “going around.” I am fortunate that way and I attribute it to my diet and overall activity level. Give the fact that I typical work with community organizations it seems something of a miracle that I continually escape communal bugs. It is something I am thankful for.

  10. Totally normal downtime as January and February, according to a social worker friend of mine, is normal as its after the festive holiday season. I guess as its Valentines coming up, any tips for the singles to survive this lovefest of coupledom with appreciation for self-valentines? And yes, my bday is the day before which makes it extra difficult for some reason. As in, I’m turning 33 and I thought I would have that white picket fence by now, instead I find myself appreciating what my colleagues say, which is, how far I have come. Perhaps your take on this whole ‘self-love’ bit. What are they referring to anyways? Okay, perhaps a few topics there. My original one is how do you stay motivated to go to the gym despite the douche bag males who insist on checking you out instead of working out. It’s an occasional problem, not always. But you know. And last one is anger management with stupid people who are racist. :D There. :D That’s my bucket list for ya :D

    • Happy birthday beautiful! I am early but I wanted to make sure to address that first! I am going to write a post about Valentine’s Day so I won’t go into a diatribe in my comment. I too embrace how far I have come and that is always the best place to be. I appreciate you so much for that. It is the main reason I find myself to relating to you. We both have a strong sense on of self and continue our journey of self exploration. Just remember we know how to love ourselves best.

      • Awwww… thank you for the first birthday wish! Woweee…. thank you soo very much… I too feel so connected to you… I’m watching New Girl and its hilarious… Deschanel rocks!

Thank you for being on this mountain with me! :D

  11. I think you all are doing a lot better than me. I’ve started wearing a mask. At least you’re open and honest and talking about sex. I won’t even take off this mask! It’s a new secret-agent identity that I developed while writing “poetry”. Now I walk around telling people I’m the White House’s favorite secret agent. How dumb is that? Anyway I haven’t had any in about 12 years and now I’m one hearty nut-cake. Meantime, I’ve grown old. Now I’m 62. However I don’t feel like I’m over the hill. I’m just taking a monk-break until a cute gal comes along and yanks off my cover…

So maybe, Ms. Narcissist, instead of writing about threesomes, maybe you wouldn’t mind discussing the possibility of having a spiritual lover. Is that possible?

  12. Do you think a woman can only be happy if she gets married? I got these anti-single dudes on my back. I knida get what they mean, but I think they are also bitter too. I wondered what your thoughts were.

    • I get people who jump me for being single and pretty casual about dating. I will write this soon. It is a good question.
